When my Father passed away we had to pay nearly 4000 out of pocket, this was to simply get him from the hospital and bring him to the funeral home and send him to be cremated.

There some improvements that could be made. Presently access is a little difficult if you are coming by TTC. There is no access on Albion rd. You have to go to Carriet Drive. My suggestions is to make a gate somewhere along Albion road with a pathway do people can go right yo the front door. Anothet suggestion is more lighting in the parking lot. Difficult to see during the winter at night

I returned when I had the insurance money to finish paying, they told me I'd have to leave him behind for 2-3 days to switch. that was not what was said to me at all, that the switch would be done in a few mins.

My Father bought a niche for him and my Mother. He spoke to Nicholas at the cemetery and was under the impression that he had bought all things needed when some one passes away. this was not at all the case. The agent failed to explain that he was only paying to be cremated and be placed in his niche. After we set up the auto payments, my card was compromised and my Dad called 3 times to give the proper number, they seemed unable to complete this and my dad actually had to go to the office in person and speak to a manager to get it fixed.

When I got the urn I was asked if I wanted the partner, I said no, not knowing I really don't have a choice in the matter, either I take it home and keep it safe or they open and niche and probably charge me for it as Dad only bought two opening.

All in all, I'd say -- Don't be buried/ intered here, the staff is nice enough, but no one at Glendale @ 27, seems to know what they are doing. You are told one thing, come to complete the task and then told something different.

I had to decline as I work and don't want to take a lot of time off from work. I brought my Dad home and could not complete the transfer my self. I called Nicolas and he actually wanted me to drive back and drop my Dad off, for 15 grand I demanded someone come and get him. They agreed. that was today and I cannot comment on how that went or how wrong it will go.

Glendale Funeral Home and Cemetery by Arbor Memorial was truly a well organized and exemplary facility to provide all of our needs concerning the arrangements for my Precious Dad! From the finer details of bookmarks and service program, to the reception buffet, we could not be more pleased with your service, nor with your care! The building is well maintained, beautiful and tastefully decorated and all the items of choice that were available seemed to cater to every taste and budget. Constance, Lisa, Michael, Heather, were the people we personally dealt with - you have all been an absolute joy to work with. Thank you so very much...you made the difficult task of saying farewell to a loved one a comforting time of making more memories!

My Dad bought an urn the splits with my Mom to make one large looking urn, and the staff did not call us to verify what side I wanted him on, so I called the office, they had no idea, so I said if you cant verify put him in a temp urn, this was fine, and all I had to do was return and they would switch him in for me.

Beautiful location, both inside and out. Inside was spotless. The rooms were cozy with comfortable seating. The lighting was appropriate (not too bright/not too soft), temperature was comfortable for most, and the music was kept at a low volume. Fresh, hot coffee (and hot water for tea) available at all times in the main area. Elevator was convenient, especially for our older relatives. The grounds were well kept/maintained. When a flash snowstorm hit later in the day, they immediately had the parking lot salted (and kept it so). Lovely service. The staff were amazing. They went out of their way to make sure everything went smoothly for our family (before, during, and even after the visitation/funeral). Everyone was very accommodating, and extremely respectful. There were other services being held at the same time, but we were still made to feel like a priority. We did not feel crowded, or rushed. They ensured that we, the immediate family, had some private time without the extended family (who had decided to arrive earlier than requested) interrupting. On top of everything else their job entails, they essientially babysat (the extended family) for us, as well. At the very end of the service, after some of the flowers had been moved over to the mausoleum, one of the staff ran out (in the snowstorm) to retrieve one of the labels/banners for me, personally. Even after services were finished, when it was time to collect death certificates, close down accounts, read the will etc. they were unbelievably helpful. Knowing how long this process can take, they didn't pressure us about money owed to them. They were patient, giving us time to figure everything out. The loss of a loved one is overwhelming, there are so many loose ends to sort out. The staff were with us every step of the way. (Thank you for everything)
